Software Engineering Manager
As the Software Engineering Manager, you report to the Vice President of Sales and Engineering and lead the design, development and maintenance of industrial software control programs. You combine your vision and technical skills to conceptualize and integrate high level control system architecture for innovative new designs. With experience and confidence, you can unearth innovative solutions to troubleshoot control systems, brainstorm new concepts and ideas, and focus on research and development.
Exceptional people skills and a natural aptitude for building relationships make you an effective leader and respected manager. With an appreciation for the urgency of timelines and budget and proposal development, you bring both management and technical finesse to the table. Selling concepts to potential clients is second nature; you have a professional demeanour and excellent presentation skills.
Technically strong with programmable logic controllers (PLC), you play an integral role in strategically integrating mechanical and control system designs. You have thorough knowledge of industrial electrical controls including safety systems and are proficient in the development of software with Siemens Step 7 software.
Requirements:
As the ideal candidate, you have five to ten years of experience in a leadership role in software development and are seeking an opportunity where you can make your mark. You have a computer science or industrial programming degree and extensive knowledge of high level architecture design of industrial, mining machinery and/or automated systems.
