Driver - OTR Truck Driver - Class A CDL
Whether an experienced truck driver or newly graduated driver from truck driving school, this Over the Road Truck Driver (OTR) position features earnings up to $0.40 per mile*, 95% no-touch freight, an average of 600 miles per haul and flexible scheduling options. Schneider gives you the support you need from a team who is invested in your success.
Job Responsibilities
Pick-up and deliver customers' freight in Canada and Central/Eastern United States
Complete trip planning process to anticipate cities, highways and fuel stops prior to the start of each trip
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and/or trailer to ensure safety
Confirm electronic logs for accuracy and compliance
Work on a 3 driver team sharing 2 tractors in a 6 days on, 3 days off rotation
Pay & Benefits Full-time OTR truck drivers are eligible for:
Earn up to $45,000 per year, based on experience
Tuition reimbursement available for recent truck driving school graduates
Quarterly performance bonus available
Paid Orientation/Training
Paid Vacation
Operating Centers - Drivers have 24 hour access to company facilities with safe parking, showers, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and cafeteria services.
Qualifications
Valid Class AZ license
Live in Southern Ontario
3 months OTR experience or recent truck driving school graduate
Hazmat endorsement and passport preferred
Process to obtain FAST card started
Has a "roll up the sleeves and get the job done" type attitude
Ability to remain flexible as environmental or business needs change
