Experience, expertise and technology: that is what Vancouver Shipyards Co. Ltd.—a member of Seaspan Marine Corporation—brings to the marine industry in the design, new construction and repair of all types and sizes of vessels.
As the lead for implementation of a comprehensive MRP system, you will work across all functions of the organization in a shared services environment. You will need to fully comprehend the complex nature and scope of our shipbuilding activities and ERP/IT systems in order to effectively specify the requirements for the MRP system. You will be responsible for rolling out the system to various stakeholders through training and process change management plans, while keeping an eye to further opportunities to roll out MRP systems to other business areas.
Requirements:
Competencies required:
A degree in information technology, engineering, business or other related discipline.
10-15 years’ experience with implementation of MRP/ ERP systems, preferably in a shipbuilding setting, or in a large manufacturing or engineer-to-order environment. Experience in a Shared Services business model is highly desirable.
MRP certification through APICS or other similar designation is preferred.
Ability to affect the work of others through influencing and project team leadership.
