This is a great time to join our team; we have a great opportunity in Prince Edward Island for a Quality and Manufacturing Assurance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for overall compliance to Quality Management System and Civil Aviation and regulatory requirements.
- Managing the quality department.
- Manage site towards attainment of annual and STRAP quality goals.
- Provide staff direction, manage performance, assist in positive employee relations, and ensure compliance to HS&E requirements.
- Ensure positive customer relations by ensuring quality product, cooperative audits, reactive responses to inquiries, and timely escape investigations and resolutions.
- Identify and provide training in conjunction with the Repair Station Training Manual, Quality - Management System.
- Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System through internal audits, product audits, maintaining quality documents, and update policies (internal and external).
- Ensure continuous improvement activities to reduce defects, warranty returns, and escapes.
- Evaluates current processes and assists in the development of new processes and quality standards.
- Manage suppliers to ensure compliance to quality requirements
- Responsible for all communication and liaison with Civil Aviation Regulatory Authorities and Corporate Honeywell.

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a Quality Assurance, preferably with management responsibilities
- Undergrad degree in Business or Engineering


Additional Qualifications:

- Ability to read and understand Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Literature and other associated approved data pertaining to maintenance and quality
- Expert knowledge of process related functions within the facility
- Expert knowledge of AS9100:ISO9000 Quality System, applicable Transport Canada Civil - Aviation Regulations (CAR 571 & CAR 573), and customer and repair/overhaul requirements for products
- Ability to work independently to achieve site goals and objectives
- Ability to influence leadership, directs, and non-direct reports to achieve quality system compliance
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision making skills
- Knowledgeable in computer systems associated with the operations of the AMO
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (or equivalent quality program) within first 12 months of employment
- Six Sigma Certified is an asset
