- A bachelor degree or college diploma in business with technical background experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Purchasing Experience
- Fluency with computer software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information
- Experience/Knowledge of Industrial Parts
Knowledge in OIL & GAS and French is an asset.

The successful candidate understands how critical logistics management is to the operations of a business. You love negotiating and truly strive to drive profit for company you are employed with.
On the Searching for Source of Products side, you will search, select, communicate, visit the suppliers (if required), and request quotes for products as per technical specs requested by the customer.
On the purchasing side of the role you will be responsible to identify, negotiate pricing per criteria set up by your manager, order the products, receive the products and control the products against the purchase order. You will also manage returns to suppliers.
You have a thirst for product knowledge as well as a desire to really understand your suppliers so you are in a position to suggest associated or alternate products and suppliers as required.
