The primary purpose of the Sales Manager position is to consistently attain targeted revenue and profitability goals and set the vision & strategy for the sales team. In order to accomplish these goals, the Sales Manager must develop specific territory plans to ensure growth in all revenue streams for the SAP Business Analytics product suite and, formulate objectives, performance standards & priorities for the Sales team and ensure that selling models facilitate market penetration.
. Sets strategy for the sales team; develops specific territory plans to ensure growth in all revenue streams.
. Formulates objectives, performance standards and priorities for the sales team. Leader , role model, and coach to account executives on sales approaches and account leadership.
. Builds a network of executive relationships with key customers and partners that can be leveraged.
. Maintains accurate, timely and documented pipelines and forecasts of opportunities and provide appropriate updates to SAP executive management.
. Facilitates individual growth and development of Sales personnel through effective and ongoing performance reviews, developmental coaching and mentoring.
. Extensive sales experience with business applications and/or IT solutions; experience selling to CXOs
. Collaborative style and ability to work in a networked organization with virtual teams
. Proven track record of capturing and growing customer and market share in a profitable manner
. 10+ years experience in sales and in sales management (Direct Sales)
. Successful people management experience
. Bilingual: Spanish/ English
. Bachelors degree in related fields (Business / Engineering or Technology). Masters degree is a plus.
. Negotiation Skills
. Territory Management; Territory planning ability to identify & prioritize opportunities
. Sales Product Solution Knowledge; Product knowledge of the emerging solution
. Value Selling; able to articulate to potential customers the business value of an investment
. Presentation skills
. Time management: Work under pressure and dealing with ambiguity
. Relationship & Trust Building; internal and external customers (team player)
